About Tap Into Calm — private EFT tapping app

Tap Into Calm is a private EFT tapping app: an independent browser guide to Emotional Freedom Techniques created by David Zelenka. There is no account, no ads, and no subscription for the core experience.

What the app is

The product lives at tapintocalm.app. It walks you through a session from naming a feeling, rating intensity from 0–10, saying a setup phrase, tapping nine body points, and rating again. You can add it to your home screen; after the first visit while online, the library, guided rounds, journal, metronome, and tapping work offline.

The app has no account, profile, sign-in, or advertising. Your journal, notes, and settings are not sent to a server. The only feature that sends data off the device is optional AI phrase suggestions. Payment for those credits is handled by Gumroad, not inside the app.

The free tier includes the guided round, the scenario library, voice and rhythm tools, the on-device journal, basic Progress statistics, themes, and local reminders. Optional AI wording and the Enhanced Dashboard require a one-time purchase—there is no subscription.

How a session works

One topic, five steps, roughly one to two minutes per round. You choose something concrete (for example tension before a call, not a vague “life is hard”), rate intensity, hear the setup line “Even though I have this [what is present], I deeply and completely accept myself,” tap karate chop, top of head, beginning of eyebrow, side of eye, under eye, under nose, chin, collarbone, and under arm with one short reminder, then rate again. On zero, you can save a note. The app follows the original principles of pure EFT—it stays with what feels true instead of jumping to positive affirmations that skip the issue. A fuller explanation is on the EFT tapping guide and inside the app at tapintocalm.app/eft-tapping.

Outside a normal round, the app also offers a short constricted-breathing exercise and the 9 Gamut procedure; neither interrupts a session already in progress.

What is free vs paid

The library contains 129 ready-made scenarios in eleven groups: everyday stress, social tension, work, school, sleep, body sensations, money worries, health anxiety, travel, relationships, and self-confidence. Replaying a saved session never uses an AI credit, online or offline.

Starter ($1.99), Regular ($4.99), and Premium ($9.99) are separate one-time purchases—not tiers that auto-upgrade. Each unlocks the same Enhanced Dashboard and AI workflow; they differ only in how many new AI sessions you receive (50, 150, or 500 lifetime) and the daily cap (10, 20, or 50 new sessions per day). A higher plan is a new key on your device; it does not replace a key you already activated.

Privacy by default

Sessions and settings live in this browser’s storage (IndexedDB and localStorage), not in a company database. Journal lock is optional: without it, entries stay on the device and are not uploaded, but they are not encrypted on disk. With lock enabled, the journal is encrypted with AES-256-GCM; you unlock with WebAuthn (your device verifies biometrics or PIN—the app never receives biometrics) or a password of at least ten characters. You can export an encrypted JSON backup that never uploads by itself.

If you use optional AI suggestions, only the text you type (situation, optional feelings, optional body cue) and a 0–10 intensity are sent. That text is not stored in server logs; it is processed to return phrase options. Your journal, passwords, and history are not sent. Gumroad sees payment details if you buy a key; Tap Into Calm does not.

Detailed privacy information for the app is at tapintocalm.app/eft-online. This marketing site at tapintocalm.com is static HTML without advertising or analytics cookies—see our privacy policy.

Self-help, not medical care

EFT (tapping) in this app is self-help for everyday stress, tension, and emotional discomfort. Tap Into Calm is not a medical device and does not replace treatment or professional medical or psychological care. It is not diagnosis, treatment, or crisis support. For serious symptoms, trauma, or thoughts of self-harm, seek qualified help; in crisis, see findahelpline.com or your local emergency number (112 in much of Europe, 911 in the US and Canada, 999 in the UK).
